I bought 2 of these mats to go outside the front door. The pattern joins well enough to be pleasing to the eye. I have a rubber mat at the back door that has been there for several years, and it still looks new, so I already know these mats will give years of durable wear and look great. They are heavy enough to stay put, and thick, about 1/2 inch; thick enough to look like a high quality mat (which they are), but not so thick that someone could trip on them. We frequently have snow and ice in the winter for several weeks at a time, and hot sun in the summer. Our big coir sun patterned mat finally wore out after 6 years, and the edges were getting pretty wavy. I expect to get 3 times the wear out of these rubber mats, maybe longer.
